About the James Dean Byrd Foundation
The James Dean Byrd Foundation was created in 2008 to support education and opportunity for children in Ecuador.
The foundation’s work grew from a deep belief that education can change the direction of a child’s life. Through years of support for Escuela Los Algarrobos, the foundation helped provide children with access to learning, care, and community.
Today, following the transition of school operations to the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil, the foundation continues its mission by focusing on scholarships, student support, donor engagement, and educational opportunities for children in need.
