PLEASE JOIN US AS AN INTERN TEACHER The school is always happy to welcome short or long term volunteers who further enrich the experience of our students. Volunteers are crucial to creating “global citizens,” an important part of our mission. When our students interact with volunteers from other countries, they ask questions, practice their English, and ultimately understand the world better on a global scale. We are especially looking for volunteers who can help us with: Science experiments Music Art Sports/Physical Education Computer Science Yoga/Meditation Teaching Internship: After a short orientation, take over your own classes that you will plan and execute as a head teacher. You'll be responsible for creating weekly plans, behavior reports, and class materials. You will attend teacher and parent assembly meetings. You may teach in any of the above areas of study. Interns teaching a full time English class will earn a monthly stipend equivalent to other local teachers' salary. Receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation. Volunteers: Volunteers may act as teacher’s assistants to the English teacher or teachers of the basic areas, Math, Language, Science, and Social Studies. We are always looking to present new concepts, activities and and ideas to our students. If you have any talent, please come share it with our students! We ask for a $25 a week programming fee to compensate the work our team does to welcome, guide, and teach our volunteers about our institution and how we work here. HOMESTAYS If you want to volunteer and stay with a local family, we would be happy to organize your homestay. You would eat and live with a family of a student at the school. For just $15 a day, you receive lodging in a private room, three meals a day, access to a laundry machine, and WiFi. You’ll be supporting a local family and have an excellent opportunity to practice your Spanish. Best of all, you will feel part of an authentic Ecuadorian family and participate in any traditions of theirs you choose.
